Oh how powerful is the Word of God!

Daily fill your mind with Truth from God's Word - this will aid in victory over porn addiction.

  • Only God's Word is living and powerful (Hebrews 4:12);
  • Only God's Word gets past all the junk in your life and strikes at the heart of the matter (Hebrews 4:12);
  • Only God's Word can build you up (Acts 20:32);
  • Only God's Word is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16);
  • Only God's Word can make you completely equipped to fight the battle (2 Timothy 3:17);
  • It is God's Word that will help you stay pure (Psalm 119:9) as you hide it in your heart (Psalm 119:11);
  • ... and this is because it is through God's Word that He shows you the way to purity and godliness (Psalm 119:105).

Reading God's word is a cleansing agent - clearing our mind of the thoughts that are tempting us to sin and replacing them with thoughts that glorify God.

Sexual Purity is a Daily Choice to Do What is Right:

  • "if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve ... as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." (Joshua 24:15)
     
  • "If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it." (Genesis 4:7) Sexual Purity is a Choice - say NO to Pornography
     
  • "If you do whatever I command you and walk in my ways and do what is right in my eyes by keeping my statutes and commands, as David my servant did, I will be with you." (1 Kings 11:38)

  • "So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh." (Galatians 5:16)

Understand: You Don't Have To Sin!

Take Captive Every Thought You Think
